Activity Logs

Admin users have access to the Activity option to view access logs. These logs allow you to view an itemized list of events affecting your account over the last 90 days.

Viewing Activity Logs in SWFT

Click the Activity button on the main toolbar to access the activity logs.

The Activity Logs will show the following events:

  • Connect and disconnect events.
  • Uploads and downloads.
  • File and directory operations (create/delete/etc.)
  • Sharing Folders
  • Sending Files

For each event, the following information is recorded:

  • The date and time of the event.
  • The public IP address of the connecting computer.
  • The username that caused the event.
  • The folder path and file name affected by the event.
  • The duration of the event.
  • The size of the file affected by the event.
  • If the event failed or was cancelled

Events may be filtered with the Filter drop-down box. You may filter the logs to show specific:

  • Usernames
  • Type (Events)
  • Path/File
  • Date/Time

Accessing Activity by File or Folder

You can also see the activity history for an individual file or folder.

  1. Login as an admin user.
  2. In the file manager, right click on a file or folder or use the actions menu and select View Activity.
  3. You will be taken to the activity log with the search field filtered by the item name.

Exporting Activity Logs

You may also export the logs to a CSV (comma delimited text) file. To export, click the Export Log button in the activity log.

Activity logs in ExaVault go back for 90 days. If you need access to older activity history, export your activity logs on a regular basis.
