A Branded Upload Form for Every Workflow

The fastest way for a client to send you a file is a link they can click. Files.com Inboxes give you a branded upload page in about a minute — pick the destination folder, set the form fields you need, share the URL by email or paste it on your website. Clients upload directly into your Files.com folder; you get notified when they're done.

  • Drag-and-drop upload forms — no client account, no software install, no friction
  • Branded with your logo, colors, and domain (files.yourcompany.com/upload/...)
  • Custom form fields — order number, project ID, sender email, anything the workflow needs
  • File-type restrictions (PDF only, images only), file-size caps, expiration dates
  • Email + Slack + webhook notifications when an upload completes
  • Per-folder access log — who uploaded what, when, from which IP, with which form data

Embed the form on your own website. Drop a <script> tag and a <div> into your page — Files.com renders the upload widget inline. Clients upload from your site; files land in your Files.com folder.

I set up all our users and set up inboxes where our customers can send us files, and everything just works. Email notifications are also a big thing for us — we need to know when we have a new file sent to us, and those just work as well.

Common Questions

Can't find what you're looking for? Reach out — every support request lands with an engineer.

No. Files.com Inboxes are designed for clients who don’t have accounts — you share the upload-form URL by email, link, or embedded widget, and the client drops files in. They never see Files.com branding (when you’ve configured a branded domain), never create a password, never install software. You get the notification when the upload completes.

Yes. Each Inbox supports custom form fields — required or optional, text or dropdown — that the client fills in before uploading. The form data is attached to every file in the audit log, so you can map “Acme Inc · Project 4421 · uploaded 2025-04-12” to the underlying file without manual cross-reference.

Three ways: email (to one or more addresses on your team), Slack (post to a channel), or webhook (your own URL — for automation). Notifications fire the moment the upload completes; combine with an Automation to route the file, run an antivirus check, or send a follow-up email back to the client.
