Embedding Shares

Embedding Shares

Shared folders can be embedded anywhere on your website. This allows your customers to visit your website and still access the folders stored in your ExaVault account. They won't even realize that they are really accessing your ExaVault account!

Permitting a Shared Folder to be Embedded

Each shared folder can be embedded on another website. To enable a folder to be embedded on a different website:

  1. Access the sharing settings for your folder.
  2. Check the box next to the words Allow Embedding.
  3. Click the SAVE CHANGES button to save your changes.

Getting Your Folder's Embed Code

  1. Access the sharing settings for your folder.
  2. Make sure the button next to the words Allow Embedding is checked.
  3. Click the link for get code.
  4. Copy the text which is displayed in the pop-up window.

Your code should look something like this one:

  <!-- begin shared folder widget code -->
  <div id="exavault-share-widget" style="width:100%; height:500px;"></div>
  <script type="text/javascript"
    src="https://your-account.exavault.com/share/widget/3-4ye3ek"></script>
  <!-- end shared folder widget code -->

You can then copy and paste that into the HTML / PHP / ASP / etc. code for your website like so:

  <html>
  <head><title>Our Company File Server</title></head>
  <body>
    <h1>Our Company File Server</h1>
    <p>
        <!-- begin shared folder widget code -->
        <div id="exavault-share-widget"
          style="width:100%; height:500px;"></div>
        <script type="text/javascript"
          src="https://your-account.exavault.com/share/widget/3-4ye3ek">
        </script>
        <!-- end shared folder widget code -->
    </p>
  </body>
  </html>
