You’ve asked and we’ve listened. There are a few new features that we’ve enabled in your FTP account that we’d like to tell you about.
Activity Logging Activity logs are now available for your FTP account! Activity logs will keep track of the following events:
- Connects and disconnects
- Uploads and downloads
- File and directory creations & deletions
For each event, the following information is recorded:
- The date and time of the event (currently in US Pacific Time)
- The public IP address of the connecting computer
- The username associated with the event
- The folder and filename affected by the event
- …and lots more!
Activity logs are available in the Client Area. Click on ‘Accounts’ and then ‘Logs and Statistics’. We currently maintain 30 days of log data for each account.
Quota Notifications Have you ever wanted to be notified when your account was nearing disk space capacity? Well, now you can be! Quota notifications are now available in the Client Area. Click on ‘Accounts’ and then ‘Notification Settings’ to setup a notification whenever your the space reaches your desired threshold.
Multiple Client Area Logins Would you like to give the Accounting Department a login to download invoices? Have you ever wanted to grant someone else permissions to add and edit sub-accounts? Multiple Client Area logins are now available for all accounts. What’s more, each section of the Client Area can be granted permissions separately. For example, the Accounting department can be set to only access invoices while your technical staff is only allowed to view account information.
To add multiple Client Area logins, login to the Client Area, click on the ‘Client Details’ hyperlink, and then click the ‘Add Contact’ link at the top of the page. One you fill out the form, your new Client Area login is ready to go!
One More Thing…We’ve saved the best for last. Our brand new web-based file sharing tool is now available! We call it SWFT (pronounced ‘swift’) and you can find it at https://swft.exavault.com/. We’ve been working on it in secret for almost two years, and are revealing it to the publc for the first time.
It supports all the latest technologies: HTML5 for drag & drop upload. iPad, iPhone & Android support. A 2GB file upload limit; larger than any of our competitors. We’ll have another email in a few weeks with more details, but we’d love to get your early feedback. Please login and try it out!
Thanks again for your continued business!
