More Client Details

The Client Details section of your ExaVault account is more than just a glorified address book. The Client Details section is where you manage your payment and client area password.

Managing Credit Cards

ExaVault uses the payment method that you signed up with to automatically renew your account. If you're paying by credit card, you can change/update your card in the 'Credit Card Details' section.

Within the Credit Card Details section,

  • You can change your card on file by entering the new card number and expiration date. Please note that you will need to re-enter your card number if you need to update the expiration date.
  • You can remove your credit card from our system by clicking the 'Delete Saved Card Details' button.

We should also mention a few points about the security of your credit card:

  • Your credit card number is not visible to anyone, and is stored in an encrypted database.
  • Each transaction with your credit card goes through fraud protection checks.

Managing PayPal Subscriptions

If you used PayPal when you created your ExaVault FTP account, then you have automatically been enrolled in a PayPal subscription. As such, your credit card is managed by PayPal.

The Client Area Password

You can also change the password that you use to log into the Client Area within the Client Details section. To change the Client Area password:

  1. Click on the 'Client Details' link at the top of every Client Area page.
  2. Click on the 'Password' link.

A word about strong passwords:

  • Use at least one UPPER CASE letter.
  • Use at least one number.
  • Use at least one ch@rac+&r.
  • Change your password periodically.
  • Avoid using pets names, favorite foods, family birthdays, or other passwords that are easy to guess.

One final note: The password for your Client Area can be different than the master account password you use to access your FTP server. If you need to change that password, please see the Accounts section.
