Protocols and Ports for Your ExaVault Account
Your ExaVault account supports the following protocols:
- FTP: port 21
- Secure FTP (SFTP): port 22
- FTP Over Explicit TLS-SSL (FTP-SSL): port 21
- Secure Copy (SCP): port 22
Authentication Details
- You can use a user name and password to connect to your account. Your master username/password was provided to you in your Welcome Email when you signed up.
- Your ExaVault account also supports the use of SSH key pairs when you connect and transfer with either SFTP or SCP.
- ExaVault does not support the use of anonymous logins.
FTP Clients and Transferring Files
- We support any FTP client that supports FTP, SFTP, SCP or FTP-SSL.
- We offer our Secure FTP Web Client: http://files.exavault.com.
- You may use Direct FTP Links to files.
- We do not support streaming video or hot-linking to pictures on your FTP server.
- We do not offer website hosting. For web hosting, we suggest Pair Networks.
