Shared Folders

Shared folders are used to share files with others who do not have accounts. It's a collaborative place where you can …well, share stuff.

To create a shared folder simply click the 'SHARE' link next to every folder in the file manager. A public link for the shared folder will then appear immediately below the folder.

To change the options for a shared folder, click the 'OPTIONS' link. You can set the following options for shared folders:

  • Permitting uploads.
  • Requiring a password to access the shared folder.
  • Setting an expiration date for the shared folder.
  • Allow public (everyone welcome!) access.
  • Send a notification email when someone uploads or downloads a file.

To send a message to specific people, click the 'SEND INVITE' link.

  • Enter the email address(es) of the people you'd like to share thie folder with.
  • Enter a subject and message (this forms the email that will be sent)

A separate email with a unique link to the shared folder will automatically be sent (blind copied) to the email addresses that you entered

Un-Sharing Shared Folders

Should you ever want to stop sharing a folder, simply click the 'STOP SHARING' link.
