Uploading
Uploading files is a snap! Just click on the “Upload” button at the top of the File Manager view.
If you would like to upload files into a specific folder:
- Select the “upload to this folder” option from the actions drop-down found next to the folder.
- You can also change the destination folder in the upload window. Simply click the “change destination” link and select a new destination folder.
- You can also create folders in the upload window:
- Click the “change destination” link.
- Select the parent folder for your new folder.
- Click the Create Folder button.
Selecting Files to Upload
To select files to upload:
- Click on the “select files to upload” button
- Select the file(s) you wish to upload
- Click the Open button.
The files you selected will be shown in the upload queue.
Dragging and Dropping Files to Upload
If you are using a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox you can take advantage of SWFT's drag and drop upload capabilities:
- Open a file manager such as Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer.
- Click the Upload button.
- In the Uploading window, drag files from your computer onto “drag and drop files here” target.
- Click on the “Start Upload” button.
Uploading Caveats
Uploading with SWFT does have a few caveats that you need to know about:
- You may only upload files that are less than 2048MB in size.
If you need to upload files larger than 2GB, please use a desktop FTP client. - You may only upload up to a thousand (1000) files at one time.
