Uploading

Uploading files is a snap! Just click on the “Upload” button at the top of the File Manager view.

If you would like to upload files into a specific folder:

  • Select the “upload to this folder” option from the actions drop-down found next to the folder.
  • You can also change the destination folder in the upload window. Simply click the “change destination” link and select a new destination folder.
  • You can also create folders in the upload window:
    1. Click the “change destination” link.
    2. Select the parent folder for your new folder.
    3. Click the Create Folder button.

To select files to upload:

  1. Click on the “select files to upload” button
  2. Select the file(s) you wish to upload
  3. Click the Open button.

The files you selected will be shown in the upload queue.

If you are using a modern browser such as Google Chrome or Firefox you can take advantage of SWFT's drag and drop upload capabilities:

  1. Open a file manager such as Finder (Mac) or Windows Explorer.
  2. Click the Upload button.
  3. In the Uploading window, drag files from your computer onto “drag and drop files here” target.
  4. Click on the “Start Upload” button.

Uploading Caveats

Uploading with SWFT does have a few caveats that you need to know about:

  • You may only upload files that are less than 2048MB in size.
    If you need to upload files larger than 2GB, please use a desktop FTP client.
  • You may only upload up to a thousand (1000) files at one time.
