Desktop FTP Clients
ExaVault services can be used with our Secure FTP Web Client or desktop FTP software. We've put together a series of tutorials on popular desktop packages so that you can learn to fully utilize the capabilities of your client.
NOTE: ExaVault supports the use of ANY desktop FTP client, not just those listed here.
FileZilla (Recommended)
FileZilla is a free and open source FTP client for Windows, Mac and Linux. It is developed and maintained by Tim Kosse and the FileZilla team. Development started in 2001 and it has evolved to become one of the most popular FTP clients in use today.

Cyberduck (Recommended)
Cyberduck is a popular free and open source FTP client for Mac and Windows. It is developed by David V. Kocher, and has been used extensively by Mac users since 2003. Cyberduck isn't simply another knock-off FTP client, rather it takes a very unique and simple approach to file transfers.

WS_FTP
WS_FTP is an commercial FTP client for Microsoft Windows. WS_FTP was originally created in 1993 by John A Junod, but it has been maintained by Ipswitch Inc. since 1996. WS_FTP is regarded by many to be the standard that FTP clients are compared to.
SmartFTP
SmartFTP is a commercial desktop FTP client written by SmartSoft LTD for Microsoft Windows. SmartFTP is available in three versions, Home, Professional and Ultimate.
Core FTP
Core FTP is a commercial FTP client for Microsoft Windows. Development began in 2002, and it is maintained by CoreFTP.com. There are two versions available:
- Core FTP LE is the free version
- Core FTP Pro is the low-cost supported version.
