Do You Access the Internet Through a Local Area Network?

For the non-geeks reading this, if any of the following statements describes how you connect to the Internet, then yes: you access the Internet through a local area network (LAN):

Troubleshooting Steps

If any single statement above applies to you, then here are the steps that you need to take.

Testing Server Credentials

Use the following details to connect. All characters should be entered as lower-case.

Downloading Tests
Host/Server test.exavault.com
Username/Login download
Password evtest

Uploading Tests
Host/Server test.exavault.com
Username/Login upload
Password evtest

1. Determine if a port or service is being blocked.

See if you can connect to any of the following. If some work – but not others – then take note of which ones and let us know: support@exavault.com

Std FTP (port 21) ftp://download:evtest@test.exavault.com/
FTP-SSL (port 21) If you have a FTP client already installed (e.g.: FileZilla or Cyberduck),
then connect using FTPES (FileZilla) or FTPS (Cyberduck)
to the server listed above.
SFTP (port 22) https://files.exavault.com
HTTPS (port 443) https://swft.exavault.com/
2. Determine if Java applets are being blocked

See if you can connect to any of the following. If some work – but not others – then take note of which ones and let us know: support@exavault.com

No Java Applet (FTP) ftp://download:evtest@test.exavault.com/
Java Applet (FTP) https://files.exavault.com/radftp.php
Click Run to the digital signature error security message.
Click No to the “Java discovered components..” security message
3. Determine if specific Internet addresses are being blocked

See if you can connect to any of the following. If some work – but not others – then take note of which ones and let us know: support@exavault.com

4. Determine if you can connect elsewhere

Here is a great excuse to get out of the office! ”…sorry boss, but I've got to see if we have a network problem with connecting to the FTP site….”

Make sure to let us know what happens: support@exavault.com

5. Determine if specific actions (uploads, downloads, etc.) are being blocked
FTP downloads https://files.exavault.com/radftp.php
Click Run to the digital signature error security message.
Click No to the “Java discovered components..” security message
FTP uploads https://files.exavault.com/radftp.php
Click Run to the digital signature error security message.
Click No to the “Java discovered components..” security message
SFTP downloads https://files.exavault.com
SFTP uploads https://files.exavault.com
HTTPS (port 443) https://swft.exavault.com/
Using the logout link, login as both the
upload and download users listed above
